Unwanted Calendar invitations from China + vulnerability if deleted

Hi, almost same issue as in

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253686385?

but limited to the calendar invitations, i.e.

I'm getting unwanted Calendar invitations from China.

While awaiting for a solution, what are the recommendations for dealing with these?

Deleting them would send a notification (no choice not to do so) and so this is not the way to go.

The only solution I found on the MACOS/Calendar app is to delete the calendar named "Personnel" to which these invitations belonged, while asking not to send notifications to the inviter : here there was a choice to do so, there is not such a choice on my iPhone.

I don't know if this "Personnel" calendar was there before... It appears as a Read Only calendar open to everyone to subscribe to. Where, who, how did that appear?

Apple's mail and calendaring services should be watching this situation carefully and propose solutions.

Are you seeing something similar as shown in the pic below? This is neither a hack nor a virus. It is spam and you can get rid of it. Read below...

Then probably you have accepted an offer or subscribed for a spam Calendar accidentally. Watch the GIF below to know how to unsubscribe from these alerts. Look for an unknown Calendar on the device under subscribed calendars.

Hi,

Thanks.

The invitations I get are in Chinese and do not look like the screen shot above.

I found a simple way to get rid of them on my MAC: right-click and then choose report as junk: a confirmation is then proposed to delete and report.

However that does not stop such spam invitations: they arrive every week!

So I guess Apple should take a deeper look into this...
