iWatch burn?

What would cause this sudden rash/burn behind the actual Watch component (not the band)? I haven’t worn a watch for about 6 days to give my skin time to heal. I’ve been wearing an iWatch for >1 year and this is the first time it has happened.

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 9
