Safari Mac web sites want access to my location. How do I stop that pop-up?

I have Location Services on and Safari checked on, yet I get these requests every time. How can I stop Safari from asking for access?

Hello Bruce Kieffer,

If your System Settings are correct, what are the settings for Safari specifically for websites? You can check with the following related steps:

  1. Go to the Safari app on your Mac.
  2. Select on the Safari menu in the menu bar > Preferences
  3. Select on Websites tab > Location Services in the sidebar.
  4. Make sure 'When visiting other websites:' is set to 'Allow' (or 'Ask', if you'd rather it have the prompt).

You'll also need to go through the listed websites you've already visited to set up your preferences for these specific websites. You can set it up to 'Ask' permission or 'Allow' access automatically.

We hope this solves the issue for you, take care.
