Company Portal Ap

I work for a large company that discourages (basically doesn't allow) use of your personal phone for work. Meaning they will not download and activate (or whatever they do) their company portal ap to anyone's personal phone. Well for situation I will not try to get into I managed to get them to put it on my personal phone almost 2 years ago. It has stayed active so long as I keep my phone updated with the latest iOS update. I am now looking to upgrade my phone and was wondering if they would have to get involved or do I just transfer the ap and all other info from my old phone to my new one and everything will work as it did?
