iPod pro microphone

I’m a bit deaf so like to use live listen when watching tv with my wife by placing my iPhone next to the tvvspeaker. Trouble is that I can hear my breathing and when she or I talk it gets amplified by that iPod mice. Is it possible to switch of the iPod pro mice’s and only have the feed from the iPhone?
