Keyboard backlight not on before login on previously turned off 2021 MBP 16
When opening the previously turned off 2021 MBP 16 the Mac and screen turn on automatically, but the keyboard backlight is off until a login password is supplied and then turns on. In this manner the MBP needs to be turn on with a light source to illuminate the keyboard to enter the password, which seems silly in light of the fact that it does have a backlight for the keyboard available.
The backlight turns on automatically if one is logged in and wakes up the MBP from sleep, before logging in with the fingerprint reader.
Is there some trick to get the backlight to work before the login password is entered at startup of the MBP when it was turned off?
