I cannot unlock my phone because the letters on it are huge and no way to swipe across to turn off. Is there a way to turn the iphone off from another device?

Do you know why they enlarge sometimes on its own? I never do that but sometimes when I have the phone to my ear, I will see the enlargement. Is there a way to keep that from happening?
