How to retrieve deleted emails? I was cleaning up my emails and all of a sudden EVERYTHING in Gmail was deleted. No thrash, important emails, nothing.

I would start by logging into your Gmail account through a browser on your computer and seeing if you can recover anything from there.
I don’t have a computer. I did check my iPad and it’s deleted also. I turned my phone off and signed back in. I’ve shook my phone. I’m losing 12 years of documents, thank you so much!
Go to the library, a friend's or relative's house and use a computer there.
