iPhone SE (2020) right side of screen not responding to touch

The right side of my screen (around 1cm wide) suddenly stopped responding to touch. The phone has never been dropped or exposed to moisture. Forced restarting and even a full restore didn't fix the issue. See the attached screenshot where I tried to fill in a note. For now I'm using left handed assist on the keyboard so I can use all the keys...

I found a thread where people had the same issue with the iPhone XS here.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution? I'm hoping I don't need to replace the screen.

I had the screen replaced which helped me … so far. I read somewhere someone used a zoom out function to bypass the problem; I didn’t look that up though.

btw:

I’ve since resolved a red tint in an old iPad by simply wringing the iPad - grabbing it by both ends and pressing counterwise which took a literal second - and am wondering if that would have worked on this issue with my iPhone. Just thinking out loud but can’t test it anymore.

Call the keyboards are not working anymore both side even the number I can’t change my keyboard to figures numbers I can’t change it both our only I’m vertically so it’s it’s really crazy it’s really crazy Apple is really abandoned iPhone SE to do something very fast. I’m changing to Samsung very soon cause after I updated my iPhone SE to the latest iPhone software it has been getting very hot. The phone has been over eating in so many cases screen is too expensive to repair

An update; my SE went back to normal a couple of days ago. It went well and been able to use it as usual. The only different thing I did that I think fixed the issue is when I plugged my phone on my laptop til it's fully charged. I am not sure what specifically happened there but I think there has been something going on with the power outlet you use to charge your phone. Just a speculation but mine went back normally after that, hopefully i don't get the same issue again anytime soon, I am done being frustrated.
