How can I search my entire Notes app for a word or series of words in a note, without knowing the title of the note? Ways to do this listed on the internet are out of date and no longer work.

Are you having a problem with the Search bar in Notes? It doesn't require that you know the title of the note.
You can also use the iPhone's search tool.
Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Enter the search string and then, in the results, swipe down to "Notes".
