WhatsApp not backing up

To ensure that the backup with WhatsApp can be completed, we recommend to verify that there's enough available storage space in iCloud and the device storage on your iPhone. To verify the amount of iCloud storage space, you can go to Settings > Your Name at the top > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.

For the device storage internally on your iPhone, you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.

In addition to that, let's ensure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp on your iPhone. You can open the App Store > tap on your profile in the upper right corner > Scroll down and see if WhatsApp has an available update.

Following these steps may help you to complete the backup from WhatsApp.

You will need to go to WhatsApp support, it has nothing to do with your iPhone. However, make sure you have enough free iCloud storage to hold the WhatsApp backup. Go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud/iCloud storage and see how much free space you have.
