Problem with screen resolution after using external monitor and switching users

I have noticed a very annoying problem when using an external monitor together with two users.

Once I disconnect the monitor from my 'work' user everything is fine, but when I log into my 'personal' user, the tab bar on the top of the screen gets super small, things don't fit properly and it simply does not work properly.

The notch is in the middle of the bar (not visible on screenshot)
