Every time I want to download an app from the App Store I have to get my dad to approve the download on my phone. Is there a way that I can stop it from asking that from now on?

Hello MAC_keyboard_typing,

It sounds like you're referring to the 'Ask to Buy' feature. This page can help out with providing details on that: Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support

These steps from the page can help with having them disable it:

How to turn on or turn off Ask to Buy
If you're a parent or guardian, use your own device to turn on or turn off Ask to Buy.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name.
3. Tap Family Sharing.
4. Tap your family member's name, then tap Ask to Buy. In iOS 15 or earlier, tap Ask to Buy then tap your family member's name.
Ask to Buy is located below Screen Time.

5. Turn on or off Require Purchase Approval.

On your Mac
In macOS Ventura or later:
1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Family.
2. Click your child's name.
3. Click Ask to Buy in the sidebar.
After you click Ask to Buy, click to turn on or off Require Purchase Approval.
4. Turn on or off Require Purchase Approval.

In macOS Monterey or earlier:
1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Family Sharing.
2. Click Ask to Buy in the sidebar.
3. Select or deselect the checkbox next to the child's name.

Cheers.
