"Card purchase: I’m trying to purchase an iTunes gift card for myself and it’s saying I should contact iTunes contact support"

Where are you purchasing these Gift Cards from?

Troubleshooting iTunes Gift Cards:

A. For Financial Assistance, Contact Apple Store Support:

You need to contact Apple Support Directly. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW. That’s why for Financial Assistance, you need to contact Apple Support. They’ll see what’s going on and will run you through the fix.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :

B. Avoiding Gift Card Scams:

In I all recommend getting an iTunes Gift Card at a retailer - that way you can easily avoid scams. Getting it online might result in scams (and plenty of which are reported on these forums). So, go to a retailer, and then add it to your Apple Account right then-and-there after the transaction goes through at the cash register. It'd be more safe, from what is read on these forums.

"Card purchase: But I’m from Nigeria how do I put a call through to them"

-------

Getting Support in Nigeria:

Perform a Chat Session:

Given that phone calls are of no option, perform a chat session with Apple Support. Ask for support with something other than financial assistance. Select something such as screen not working, and proceed from there. If you ask directly for financial support in the chat session, it would end. Once the chat session begins, ask the Apple Rep for assistance.

Setting Up the Cat Session:

  1. Go to: support.apple.com
  2. Scroll Down to "Tell us how we can help"
  3. Select: Get Support
  4. Proceed from there as Necessary
