iPad Pro A1584 updated to 16.2

I have an iPad Pro 12.9” gen 1. Two days ago, I got a normal warning “system update available”

for my surprise, it showed iOS 16.2, I knew this iPad “couldn’t” GP over iOS 15.xx. But, didn’t question the availability, just thought Apple changed the limits.

Anyway, now my iPad is on iOS 16.2, and always showing the warning “System update available” but in the option to update, shows “iPadOS 16.2 is updated”

also noted some bad performance, in basic operations, like using safari.

the question is, what. To do to fix it?

thank you and regards

Hi Roldan_C,

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

We’d like to start by setting your expectations, the iPad Pro (1st generation) is compatible with iPadOS 16.

iPadOS 16 - Apple

Is the issue isolated to Safari?

Have you had the chance to try a different known-good Wi-Fi network?

If the issue is not isolated to Safari, please try the steps in the article below.

If your iPhone or iPad is running slow

Take care!
