Redeem lost Apple Card cash back from unverified account

I just found out that Apple Cash has a $500 limit for unverified accounts. This makes sense for security purposes, however it has prevented me from accumulating the promised cash back from Apple Card purchases.

I was allowing the Apple Card rewards to accumulate as a bit of a rainy day fund, so never really monitored how much Apple Cash I had. However after glancing at it a few times and realizing it was pinned at $500, I looked into it and realized you have to verify your account in order to have an Apple Cash balance over $500.

The issue with this, is that my Apple Cash maxed out over 6 months ago, and I use my Apple Card for everything thanks to the Cash Back program, so that's several hundred dollars that I have missed out on. The annoying part is that Apple Cash and Apple Card never once notified me that I was at the Apple Cash limit, that I needed to verify my account (wasn't even aware this was something you could do), or that I was missing out on my rewards.

Essentially, I was prevented from claiming a significant to me amount of rewards due to the lack of transparency by Apple Card about how its cash back program worked, and the limitations of Apple Cash. I realize now Apple.com has several pages that mention Apple Cash needs to be verified to exceed $500, but no where is it particularly explicit and warns that Apple Card rewards could be lost by not verifying your account.

In addition, Apple Cash notifies you of your rewards periodically. There is nothing stopping Apple from modifying that message to say "Daily cash of $0.50 blocked due to unverified account" or notifying you in some way that you are not receiving the rewards. Instead it seems like Apple quietly pockets the money, not even bothering to place it in a holding account for once the user becomes verified on Apple Cash.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to receive the lost Apple Card rewards. I'm not sure if there is someone I need to contact, or some sort of a appeals process. I do realize it is my fault I didn't pay attention to the Apple Cash balance sooner, or verify my account at the start, but for a credit card that advertises security, ease, and transparency, it feels like I was just allowed to make a mistake when they could have easily issued an occasional notification anytime an Apple Cash transaction was blocked.
