2016 dating apps installed

I have 2 dating apps showing up on my phone that say they were downloaded in 2016, but I never downloaded them. Has this ever happened? Can someone who had access to my Apple ID download them to their phone, then delete from their phone but it still shows up on mine as downloaded?

This obviously would have been on an older iPhone 6 maybe?

One other detail that might help understand how it happened.. In Settings > App Store under Automatic Downloads.. If that switch is turned on for App Downloads (or it was turned on at the time someone else was using your Apple ID), it would automatically download new items to your phone..

Then as was already mentioned, deleting an app off one device will not delete it from another.

If you share an Apple ID with anyone (REALLY Bad Idea) or you are part of a Family Sharing group any app purchased by anyone in the group will appear on all phones in the group.

But I suspect the real problem is at one time in the past you had a used phone that was not correctly reset and still had those apps installed when you got it, then when you transferred content from the older phone those apps came with it.

It is relative. If someone else has access to your Apple ID, the apps that person downloads to their iPhone will download to your iPhone.

First, check if there are other devices signed in to your Apple ID here:

Settings -> Apple ID (Your name). Scroll to the bottom, if there are devices you don't recognize, delete them.

After that, you must change your password to your Apple ID.

You can also do this in Settings -> Apple ID -> Password and Security, then Change Password.

Also open the App Store, check in "Purchased apps" if you have the dating apps lying around. If they are NOT in the list, check if they are not just bookmarks from Safari saved on the home screen. In that case, you can just delete them.

I meant the list of purchased apps. But okay, so they are in the App Store. It was also a possibility that it was just bookmarks that had moved to the Home screen.

Okay. In answer to your question. Yes, if someone else is/was signed in to your Apple ID, on another iPhone, and downloads apps, you will also be able to see them on your iPhone, and vice versa. If the person who downloaded those apps deletes them from their iPhone, they will NOT be deleted from your iPhone.

If you suspect that others have access to your Apple ID, then you need to change the code and remove unknown devices, as described in my first answer.
