Ensure that you have updated your devices to the most recent versions of iOS/iPadOS - then retest.

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you still see inconsistencies between your iPad and iPhone, if you can provide information as to the devices and their installed version of iOS/iPadOS, contributors may be better able to provide appropriate advice.
