Apple Music Sing Lyrics Color Changes after 30 seconds

With new sing feature on Apple Music, the color of the lyrics follow along as the song progresses. For me, it starts off red for the first 30 seconds, and then it changes to blue for the rest of the song. Does anyone know the purpose of this and if it can be adjusted at all?

Thanks

Hello loganpk13,

Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities.

These colors in Apple Music may be related to the Differentiate Without Color and Increase Contrast accessibility features of your device. The following Apple Support article explains how you can change these settings: Use display and text size preferences on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you would like to see these features changed, or additional features added, please submit feedback to Apple directly using this link: Product Feedback

Cheers!

JJRASC,

Please don’t waste people’s time with useless, wishywashy pseudo-answers. (That’s not the kind of service we were trained to provide when I worked at Apple.)

Yes, the behavior described only occurs when “Increase contrast” is on, because that’s the only time text color is used for the lyrics. (The “Differentiate without color” setting is irrelevant.)

But the actual question is why the color *changes* from red to blue after around 30 seconds. You didn’t answer this question. The change in color suggests that the color in use has significance (like pitch, person, etc), but I have yet to find a song where it doesn’t start in red and then switch to blue at about the same time, so it doesn’t appear to be contextual.

Kindly provide an *informed* explanation if you can find out, and file a bug report for us if you can’t.

Regards,

A.
