How to hide the tab bar in Safari on my iPad?

Hello, I recently updated my iPad to 16.2 and was wondering how to hide the tab bar in safari.

before I updated my iPad, I had hide tab bar enabled and was working perfectly but now I can’t find the option to hide the tab bar in settings anymore.

I’ll provide images of what I’m talking about, please let me know if they removed the hide tab bar option or moved it.

This is a image of the Tab bar I want to hide:

Hello LewdAnimeLife,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. All adjustable settings for Safari tabs can be found in the settings you took of screenshot of. Show Tab Bar option is no longer a listed adjustable setting. You can only change the overall layout as mentioned here: Change the layout in Safari on iPad - Apple Support

1.) Go to Settings  > Safari, then scroll down to Tabs.
2.) Select either Separate Tab Bar or Compact Tab Bar.

For more details on how to use tabs in Safari, click here: Organize your tabs with Tab Groups in Safari on iPad - Apple Support

With the new iPadOS update, you can still hide the toolbar, which also hides your open tabs. This is just temporary, tabs will appear again once you select options in Safari: Customize your Safari settings on iPad - Apple Support

Tap the Page Settings button, then do any of the following:
-Hide the search field: Tap Hide Toolbar (tap the top of the screen to get it back).

We hope this information is helpful. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
