Loan denied payment still taken

So I was trying to finance an iPhone through their iPhone upgrade program after I put all my information in and I was denied citizens one bank still took my payment of $44 so I’m confused if I was denied of purchase why did I still get a charge? Can anyone help? Has this happened to anyone else?

This just happen to me as well. Apple needs to fix this . If we got declined why are we still getting charged by cittizens bank. Did anyone else get there money back besides that one person who said they did ?

Same here. I tried making an iPhone 14 purchase through Apple and when I checked out I saw the option to use Citizen One to pay off phone within 24 months instead of paying full price up front. So I applied and got denied with Citizen One but have this charge of $66.26 with Citizen One. I contacted Apple specialist and they were useless! Even though they partenered with Citizen One, Apple couldnt help me and asked to call Citizen One directly at 1-888-427-9671. Didnt call them yet but its frustrating to try to figure this out. If I was denied then whats up with this charge! Nothing should of came through….very unhappy!
