why is my iPhone charging in reverse?

This has been happening for a while. When I first bought my iPhone 13 through my phone carrier I was given an offer for a wireless charger which I did take. It’s been a year since I bought this phone and when I plug it in to a regular charger, it charges in reverse. There’s no other issues with the phone. The battery health is at 91% and charges fine on the wireless charger. Can somebody tell me if anybody has this issue? I don’t want to go to the Apple Store to spend money on getting it fixed..

Hi there nyasia231,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand your iPhone is not charging correctly when using a wired charger.

Let's start by making sure your iPhone is up-to-date. If you need to update, before updating, we recommend backing up your iPhone first. These articles can be of help. When you back up, you can back up using a Mac or PC rather than iCloud if you choose.

Then, take a look at this article: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge

There are some great suggestions in there. Can you try a different Lightning to USB cable or power adapter? This can help rule things out.

That should help.

Take care.
