Password confusion and Github with SourceTree

I've used Github for years and they changed the password use in the last year or so. I can't figure out what the `"login" keychain password` is. Now this is using SourceTree to sync with GitHub. Neither my iCloud nor computer password works. And this window is weird because there is no cancel. esc does work.

Open Applications > Utilities folder

Launch Keychain Access app from that folder.

Select the login keychain in the left column..

Select Passwords at the top of the right column.

Look for the password.

Select and view the saved password. You will need to enter the keychain password.

The keychain password usually matches your Mac login password, though that is not required.

The login keychain password is the password to the login keychain, a leychain which is visible via the macOS Keychain Access app in Applications > Urilities, and the password to that keychain usually tracks your Mac user login password.

Might want to update to Ventura 13.1, too.

If you’ve updated macOS, restarted, and still have issues, use Keychain Access app and locate and remove the saved password. This if you can access the login keychain. If you no longer have the login keychain password, you’re left to reset the keychain.

Are you saying this should be my computer password/login?

Because I've used the same one for at least a decade on all my computers. (Maybe not the smartest move, but that's the way it is.)

I've been at 13.1 since within a week of its release.

I'm afraid I have a hard time following "login keychain password," "password, "login keychain," "user login password."

Is the "login keychain password" different than the one I login to my computer? Or can they be different? Normally the password I use to login to my computer allows me to see the passwords in Keychain Access.

Thank you for answering.
