Why is my refund denied how to I escalate.

I purchased coins for golf battle. Unexpectedly during high stakes matches the game would crash before awarding you the first place prize. It also took your entry fee. Sometimes this can be as much as $30/$40 usd. The game would not crash all of the time. It was difficult to predict. I contacted the developer and received the same automated troubleshooting advice. I completed the suggestions without remedy. Frustrated I went to write an App Store review. Here I notice dozens of others with the exact same issue and many have been able to identify exactly when the crash takes place! I knew I wasn’t crazy. I articulated to apple on the phone and through report a problem. They not only denied all my refund requests but denied my appeals in less than 3 minutes. Something stinks here. I have no recourse. The developer finally released a patch yesterday to address the problem but no refunds. They must have made tens of thousands of dollars from this scam. What do I do?
