Apple Pencil Charging issue.

My pencil (2nd generation) takes a long time to charge. This has always been the case, even when new. In use, it retains its charge perfectly and lasts as long as ever (around 6 hours of intensive use with Procreate). For this reason, I don’t think there are any issues with battery health. It’s just the charging that is the issue. It charges from 10 to 60% in a few minutes, but then takes over an hour to reach full charge. Is there anything I can do? Have tried un-pairing and re-pairing. iPad Pro software is fully up to date.

Hello Garn_dragon,

If your Apple Pencil isn't charging as expected, you'll want to start by making sure the magnetic connector on your iPad Pro is clean. You can follow the steps in this link to clean your iPad Pro: How to clean your Apple products - Apple Support

Next, are you using a case with your iPad Pro? If so, and you remove it, does that seem to help?

Does your Apple Pencil charge faster if your iPad Pro is full charged? Learn more about charing your Apple Pencil here: Charge your Apple Pencil and check the battery - Apple Support

Send over these details, and we'll take a closer look from there.

Thanks.
