How do I get a notification for a text message?

Hey there,

Make sure that you don’t enabled the hide alert for your husband:

Turn off Hide Alerts

1. Open Messages.
2. Swipe left over the conversation that you want to unmute.
3. Tap the Alerts button .

When Hide Alerts is on, the Alerts button appears next to the conversation.

Also make sure your that you don’t have any focus enabled on your iPhone.

You may have "Muted" your husband's text messages.

Try this:

1. Open the Messages app
2. Find your husband message thread
3. Swipe on conversation in the overview from left to right
4. Press the purple bell so that it has a "dash" across it.

Test whether you get a notification when your husband sends you a message.
