“Start” in “Stopwatch” failed.

With my Apple Watch Ultra when I use my stopwatch I’ll frequently receive this message, pictured below. My stopwatch still works, but I have to hit ok to look at the time or stop/start it. It’s very annoying as I use this during workouts and it blocks my whole screen. Going to settings for the action button doesn’t do anything to help. I’ve used another Apple Watch Ultra in similar scenarios and it doesn’t have this issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello Johnhtx,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Let's restart your Apple Watch. Even though this is a simple step it may be helpful:

"How to restart your Apple Watch if you have watchOS 9

  1. If your Apple Watch is charging, take it off the charger.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see the power button  in the upper-right corner of the display.
  3. Tap the power button.
  4. Drag the Power Off slider.
  5. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo."

More details can be found here: Restart your Apple Watch

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? When did you first notice this? What is your exact watchOS version? Also, do you experience this with any other apps?

Cheers!
