Note that I didn’t write

I was looking to my notes and I saw this text “пиви” on my notes. The thing is I don’t remember typing it there and I don’t even have a keyboard that has a letter like that.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Thank you for the help. I don’t have any school or job profiles. Altough I did use a VPN at the time and contacted the Apple Support and they said VPN Configurations and school or job configurations can be the reason of that. And I immediately deleted the configuration of the VPN and deleted the app itself. I restarted my phone because of the text in my notes and backed up my phone. Then I saw a folder called “Curve6” (without the “”) which was a file that went like

}

0.1x

0.2x

on and on untill the

0.9x

it was basically counting of some sort to 1.0 (Imagine the “x” as numbers) and there was 8 files like this. For example Curve1, Curve2 on and on to Curve8 I only opened the Curve6 file and saw what I typed up there. Then I contacted to Apple Support again and they told me to reset my phone and delete the files. And so I did (btw it’s not a official file or something like that I didn’t saw it on another iPhone). This time I didn’t back up my phone I only connected to iCloud and got my photos back. Now I don’t have any issues like those and I hope I won’t. Yes I know the chances of an iPhone getting a malware are very rare (maybe none) but it could be the only explanation. And I didn’t clicked on any suspicious links just had a VPN Configuration. And didn’t install anything on Safari basically I didn’t download anything other than what’s inside Apple Store and didn’t share my account password or exc. to anyone. Again thanks for the help and I am wondering if I encounter something like that again can I return my phone with it’s warranty for a new one? (I bought it from US but I don’t live in the US)

Hello HolySchwibble,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Does anybody else have access to a device syncing with your iCloud? If so, it could have been written on another device and synced to yours.

Set up iCloud for Notes on all your devices
You can use iCloud with Notes on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac, and on iCloud.com. For an overview of what you can do with iCloud, see Keep your notes up to date and share them with iCloud.
Note: Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID on each device. If you have devices where you’re not signed in with your Apple ID or that have the Notes feature turned off, you won’t be able to access your iCloud notes on those devices.

More details can be found here: Set up iCloud for Notes on all your devices

If not, can you provide a few more details? Do you see any other notes you don't recognize? Are you Abel to delete the note? Also, what is your exact iOS version?

Cheers!

Understood HolySchwibble,

We;d recommend monitoring the situation to see if anything else appears. Make sure you're not set up with a managed account under Settings > General > Profile. These can sometimes originate from workplaces or universities who need to manage settings on your device, so we just want to rule that out. Details about those can be found at: Install a configuration profile on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Cheers!

My IOS update is the latest and yes I was able to delete the note and I don’t have any other device connected to my iCloud. I restarted my iPhone to be sure and backed up my phone. Then I got a file that was named Curve6 then I searched file as Curve and I saw 8 of them go in consecutive order (like Curve1, Curve2 it went like that to Curve8) and then I restarted my phone again and didn’t backed up anything other than my iCloud account and my photos. And for now I didn’t noticed any of them and I hope I will not.
