Certain parts of my iPhone screen are not responding to touch after nultiple restarts and reboots. What do I do?

The touchscreen is not responding in certain areas and I have already updated and turned on and off multiple times

If your screen is too sensitive or responds intermittently to touch

  1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
  3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
  4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.


If your screen still isn't working, you might need to set up service for your device. 👉 Contact Apple Support.

Harvey ~ 77% maximum capacity is not healthy and is to be expected after several years of use and charging cycles. As Apple's message suggests, have the "significantly degraded" battery replaced and the symptoms you described will likely be resolved:
