Remove declined events from calendar

Why has this question not been answered? Why do I still have to see my old business partner's life in my calendar when I left the business 3 years ago. This has become a compelling reason to leave Apple product behind.

How do I delete these calendar, not just hide the declined events.

How do I delete unwanted event in Calendar app on my iPhone? I recently had an event request show up on my calendar. It says: “Take advantage Today: your $500 Welcome bonus is Ready. It appears to be from HighFlyerCasino Promo and the sender is listed as *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. They have set it to recur from 12/15 through 1/15. If i open the request (which does include a link that i have NOT clicked on), it has the options of Accept, Maybe and Decline (as an actual meeting request would). If i chose Decline it will dissappear for a second and then shows back up again exactly as before. I cannot delete it, by doing anything. It is not from an unknown calendar. It is on the calendar that i use every day. I have checked settings also. (no unknown calendar or account). I have also gone into my outlook app and my Icloud and can’t understand why it is showing up on my IPhone Outlook calendar but not any where else. I am an Apple user and only login to my outlook using Apple devices. How do I get rid of these requests? This is extremely annoying and takes up a lot of room on my calendar. Not to mention that i'm concerned that the link could be clicked on in error or it’s a hacker. I can’t even report it. Thanks! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Cannot delete Declined calendar invite I have invitations to repeating meetings on one of my calendars that persist. Some are years old. I can decline them everyday, but I am generally notified about the invitation again just a few minutes later. They are really cluttering up my calendar and my notifications and I do not know how to make it stop. When the invitation comes up, I only have the option to accept, decline or respond maybe. I have tried all of these but it is worth noting that none of them stop the persistent invitation notices. If I accept, decline or respond maybe, it will "take" for a moment or two and then it will revert to an invitation and I will get notified again. I am not presented with an option to Delete. If it matters, these are coming through a Yahoo calendar. Please advise because it is making the Calendar app unusable.

Note: I don't know why iCloud is suggesting I'm enquiring for my 8+ as I haven't had that for at least 2 years.

Side note, you have to SHOW the declined events in your device calendar, NOT on icloud.com.

Then touch and hold, scroll across for delete.

Of course, Apple being Apple, feel it's pertinent that we must notify those people, 3 years later, that we have deleted the entry from the calendar.
