Do the 10th generation iPads have split keyboard?

Does the 10th generation iPad not have the split keyboard option? The option does not show in Settings -> Keyboards for me.

Yea it doesn’t come up for me. I have the 10th gen iPad, which isn’t on the list of supported devices. It just seems weird that the option is available on older models and not this one.

Hello MrGman07,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want you to get the most from your iPad and better understand the Split Keyboard feature.

You should see the option here if it's available:

"Turn Split Keyboard on or off

To turn the Split Keyboard setting on or off, do one of the following:

  • Go to Settings  > General > Keyboard, then turn Split Keyboard on or off.
  • Touch and hold the Next Keyboard Emoji key or the Switch Keyboard key, tap Keyboard Settings, then select Split Keyboard."

Here are models that support it:

Models that support Split Keyboard
iPad mini (5th generation and later)
iPad (5th generation to 9th generation)
iPad Air (3rd generation)
iPad Pro 9.7-inch
iPad Pro 10.5-inch

This Apple Support page has the full details: Use a split keyboard - Apple Support

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions.

Cheers!
