how do i sign out a child account from ipad

Please can anyone advise how I sign out a child account from an ipad. The Sign out button is greyed out. Thanks

Thank you for your response. Yes, full removal of screen time restrictions on the device where I had originally set them up then allowed me to complete the sign out of the device.

Hello HelpDazza,

That behavior may be related to a restriction through Screen Time. You can verify that by temporarily disabling Content & Privacy Restrictions under the Settings > Screen Time menu: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If you are prompted for an unknown passcode to make that adjustment, you'll want to work with the individual that originally set up the Screen Time passcode. They may also be able to reset the passcode using the steps from this resource: If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support
