iPhone 13 Pro won’t charge wirelessly in my car

Help! My iPhone 13 Pro won’t charge wirelessly in my 2021 Maserati. My friend’s iPhone 12 charges wirelessly without issue in my car so it’s not the car. My iPhone 13 Pro charges perfectly on a Mag safe wireless charging pad so there’s that. I’ve tried soft and hard resets, flipping the phone in every direction, praying to the charging Gods and even tried connecting with it telepathically. Okay not really. But I am tempted. Any ideas?

Hi BigDawggie,

It sounds like you've tried some great troubleshooting so far. Since updates often include fixes and can often correct unexpected behavior, make sure you're running iOS 16.3: Update your iPhone or iPad. If an update is available, be sure to create a backup before installing it.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
The Settings app on iPhone showing options to update to iOS 15.7 or iOS 16.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If your iPhone has a thick case, metal case, or battery case, remove it to see if your iPhone charges as expected. This will let you know if the issue is related to the case.

Regards.
