How well does the new HomePod/HP Mini work as speakers for Macs?

Hi there! I've been recently looking on purchasing a HomePod Mini to use as a speaker to my Mac Studio but after looking at some reviews I have noticed it contains some problems.

Is there anyone that personally uses a HomePod Mini as a desktop speaker that could tell me a bit about how good they are? Especially with the new ones coming in.

HomePod minis not working with Mac mini M1 after Sonoma Installed Hello, Although using HomePod minis as computer speakers for my Mac mini M1 16GB has never worked properly, they don't work at all since I installed Sonoma this afternoon. They light up as if they are working, but no sound comes through at all. I have restarted them, unplugged and restarted them, restarted my Mac, etc. Nothing works. Please fix.

HomePod mini compatibility with macOS Catalina I didn’t find straight forward answer but will macOS Catalina will have ever native support for all HomePod mini features like HomeKit support and system speakers pairing? I know speakers pairing works in Apple Music but not with other system audio.

I use a mini with my MacBook, It works well. Either HomePod model should work.
