Can't import abbu file into Contacts

Hello I'm upgrading to a new Mac Studio and am trying to import the abbu file I created on my old system. Contacts on Ventura however is refusing to open it and the Replace Contacts button is greyed out. Any ideas? Thx.

Why are my Contacts blank after importing .abbu file on Monterey? I'm trying to load my contacts archive (.abbu file) after changing my computer and updating to Monterey, but nothing happens. Whenever I select File > Import > Contacts...abbu, etc. I get the usual 'are you sure' message. However, I select yes import and my Contacts stay blank (which is most useful). Contacts won’t let me add a new contact I reviewed the thread that suggests using the “No Name” list at the end of your contacts as a workaround and that works but I will eventually run out of No Names. The second suggestion is to delete the “com.apple.AddressBook.plist” file, which apparently does not delete your contacts but only your preferences. The only issue I have with that is there are four “com.apple.AddressBook.plist” files in Library/Preferences on my MBP running Big Sur (11.7.10) and each has a string of seven different letters/numbers at the end of the four filenames. Three of the four files have “Zero bytes" while the other one has "2 KB" and all are old files. Should I delete all four files?

Can't Update Contacts I recently got a new Mac Mini. After importing my old contacts from an older OS, I am unable to edit most of my contacts. When I hit the edit button, the contact disappears. I'm running Mac OS 12.6. Is there a fix for this problem?

Try exporting from old Contacts application as vCard format
