After upgrading to 13.2 I can no longer share disks/file via SMB between my Macs. They can see windoze shares but no macOS. Way to go apple!
Mac Studio, macOS 13.1
the plot thickness, I created an external boot drive for the Mac Studio, with a 'scratch' volume. If I put an icon on the volume smb fails. If I remove it, and stop and restart file serving it works fine.
In my previous tests, I removed the icon from a drive I was trying to mount via SMB, but left the others as shared with their icons. After I am done with setting up the external boot drive and back on to the internal drive, I will remove all drives from sharing except one that will not have an icon and see if that works.
If that does "work" it will make things a bit harder for me as I have lots of external drives with icons representing what they are for. It has made my life easier, but I suppose I should be able to get along without the icons.
I wish they would call, I have the time! Glad to see it is a known issue, so there is hope for a fix!
I spent two days with them and got nowhere. I will give it one more try as it is now a known issue.
I guess they put a stop to getting around broken releases ☹️
How did you go back to 13.1?

I will most likely as well, I have a drive on the way for just that purpose.
You refer to a "SMB Fix" in your post - can you elaborate for me please. Is there a known update which has been applied by Apple.
In the release notes it had said there was something changed having to do with Samba / SMB. I was just stating my concern that this "fix" may have caused the problems we are seeing.
If anyone has the ability to check out 13.2.1, and see if it fixed it, that would be great. the 13.1 rollback was so painful... I don't think I will be the first tester.

Not sure why, but after updating to this "fix" (like I had my dog fixed...) photos will no longer open the photo library. Just had it open before the update. Perhaps, a reboot will cure it...
Do you think there is any relation between the source of the share and if it works. For example are you connecting to an internal built in SSD or an external drive ?
In my testing, it fails on both internal and external drives.
I have tested both internal SSD and external SSD (Samsung T5). Same result.
It has been several days since anyone posted in this thread, has anyone gotten a fix that works and stays working?
