Troubleshooting CarPlay:

A. Driver's Manual:

Read your driver's manual to find out more about syncing this.

B. Try being in Park:

For many, they must have their automobile in park to get this to all pair.

When you connect to CarPlay for the first time, your iPhone will ask if you want to authorize the connection with the car - make sure your iPhone is unlocked when you connect it the first time, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Also check in the car's infotainment system that CarPlay/Android Auto is activated. You have to on some cars.
