I dont have an auto brightness setting anymore, idk if it's a bug with ios 16 because my friend has the same phone as me and their auto brightness setting is still there. Can anyone help this situation?

Hello Xuri04,

First, we'll want to ensure that you don't have Low Power Mode enabled, which can impact features related to your Display Brightness. Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone or iPad provides this information and more.

  1. To turn Low Power Mode off, go to Settings > Battery.
  2. From there, go to Settings  > Accessibility.
  3. Tap Display & Text Size, then check for the Auto-Brightness option again.

Regards.

Hello Xuri04,

According to Adjust the brightness and color temperature on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support, your phone should have true tone.

If you have followed the guidance in that article and still do not have the option for auto brightness or True Tone, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support so they can look into this in more detail. You can do that here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kindest regards.

Hey Xuri04,

You can use True Tone with these devices: iPhone 8 and later, iPhone SE (2nd generation) and later, iPad (9th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation) and later, iPad Pro 11-inch, iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Pro 9.7-inch, iPad Air (3rd generation) and later, and iPad mini (5th generation) and later.

However, you should be seeing auto-brightness as a setting. Since you don't, we'd like to refer you to Apple Support. They will have the necessary tools to investigate into this matter more with you: Get Support.

Have a great day.
