Kobo Ereader Issue with MacBook Air

Why can't my new Kobo Clara 2 or Libra 2 connect to the desktop on a MacBook Air with the M1 chip? The icon does not appear on the desktop even thought the reader is stating that it is linked to the MacBook. Is it a software issue? I called Kobo and they stated they are aware of the issue. Does anyone have a fix?

mac mini m1 12.4 not working with pro tools ok so you told me that the mac os mac mini m1 2020 monterey 12.4 would work find with pro tools but I'm having nothing but problems.please help or i have to return the mac i just bought from you guys.Thks
