Deregister iMessage not working

If you are not receiving messages from iPhone users, the first thing we would recommend is to ensure your phone number is provisioned correctly so that it can send/receive SMS/MMS messages. Your wireless carrier would be the best-equipped to look into this.

Also ensure that these iPhone users are messaging your phone number and not your Apple ID email address, as this will send as an iMessage and not as an SMS/MMS message. This has more information on this as well: What is the difference between iMessage and SMS/MMS?

Once you are able to send/receive messages with a single contact, try to see if you can receive the verification code to deregister iMessage once more. This may affect your group text messages as well and these groups may need to be recreated so that they are sending you SMS/MMS messages and not iMessages in the group. No. What he's saying is that the online form for de-registering your phone number from iMessage is not working. You never get the SMS from the Apple service. I have the same problem. You can't de-register from the online form, because you never get the SMS.
