iPod Touch 5th Generation

My touch will not connect to my 5G home network with T-Mobile. T-Mobile advised the device is too old for 5 G. Has anyone found this to be true, and if so, is there a workaround?

5G is cellular. The iPod Touch has no cellular radio, so cannot connect to 5G cellular or any type of cellular for that matter.

It can however connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi networks on 802.11n.

Make sure the T-Mobile router is producing the network on 802.11g/n and not only on 802.11ac.
