Apple is forcing me to pay. They don’t repair one without the other.

I have the Apple Watch Series 3. I sent it to repair because the watch wasn’t functioning and had been showing apple icon. The genius bar said it could be something wrong with the battery or the update. Then, my watch was on hold because they said there was a crack on the screen. They gave me two options: 1) pay $209+ tax to repair the screen in order to fix the battery. 2) device will be returned without any fix. They said they don’t repair one without the other.

The damaged screen is not my concern at all, and I am okay with it. This is not what the reason why I sent to the repair. And I really don’t care about the crack on my watch. Why does Apple force me to fix something that doesn’t concern me. Second of all, the battery/update issue is an internal problem, which Apple has the responsibility of solving it. Also, the fixing screen repair fee is unreasonable.

I talked to the customer service online and talked to the senior advisor, they both said either I pay for the repair fee or else they won’t fix the internal problem. I’m not satisfied with the “options”.
