Mail app not working with exchange, Microsoft Authentication

Hi all, this looks to be in relation to Microsoft turning off Basic Auth. We have a number of iPhones that used to work fine on the Mail app for exchange but since MS cut off Basic Auth most of them have stopped working, not all, some are still finer.

Error message is: Cannot Get Mail, The connection to the server failed.

The setup is through Azure MDM (Company Portal app).

Range from iPhone 7 through to 14 Pro.

Any one with a solution to this? it appears to be totally random as to which phone works and which doesn't.

Unfortunately, the solution to this is rather inelegant. You'll need to remove the account and then add it back to the device.

Thanks for the response, unfortunately this doesn't work. I've tried removing the account, waiting one hour then re-adding the account via the Company Portal app. I'm just wondering if there's something in Intune policy that's affecting it? Just for info but this is an issue I've inherited from my predecessor who didn't take any steps towards modern auth so I'm still getting up to speed with everything here.
