Aside from using Find My, nobody on these boards or at Apple can. For reference, most of the people who answer questions here are other customers, not Apple employees.
The serial number is used for other types of issues, not locating lost or stolen units.

I no that they can’t now, that’s not the question I’m asking.
I am asking why do they say get serial number and call Apple support if it no use to them.
I took a note of the serial number and called as advised though wasn’t ask for serial number?
can you not register my serial number and check if someone uses the device as it can’t be found on Find my.
I don’t understand what it says take note of serial number and call apple support then when I do I get told to call police

I did that and they said they couldn’t do anything with serial number so why get people to follow these instructions

Hello ~ Again, we are fellow forum members and have no idea why Apple does things. Did you ask them when you called? Your question was “Can you find my Beats Pro that are lost with serial number?” That’s what we are trying to answer.
