I've seen a lot of ads on the Marketplace for the Series 8 in a black box with the Nike logo. They might be fakes. I know that the 7 series is sold in a black Nike box, but I haven't seen the 8 anywhere else.

To see, I went to Youtube and saw some unboxing of the Series 8 Nike Edition and the few I saw came in white boxes, without a Nike Logo on it.
The Series 7 Nike, did come in a black box. But based on the Youtube videos I saw, the 8 doesn't.
Stop by an Apple Store or BestBuy Store and see if they have one in stock and can confirm for you. Personally, it shouldn't matter if you buy your watch from Apple or an Apple Authorized Seller, such as BestBuy. You'd get the right watch in the right packaging.
