I bought an apple watch series 8. The watch is like new, however I am a little disappointed with the battery life. I've run at least two tests at the Apple Store and Best Buy, I've updated the IOS version but the battery barely makes it through the day. Is it possible to trade in my current watch to an Apple Watch Ultra?

If you purchased the watch within 14 days and you have all the original packaging, you can return the watch for full refund and use the money to get an Apple Watch Ultra. If however, you've owned the watch longer than 14 days, I don't believe it is yet eligible for trade-in and the trade value would not be close to what you paid for it.
You could, sell the watch privately and use the proceeds towards the watch you want. If you go that route, make sure you do everything to make the watch ready for a new user, by following the directions in this link --> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Apple Watch, or buy one from someone else - Apple Support
