iTunes and Apple ID

I have my wife's I-6 connected to my iTunes (phone was mine earlier) so changed it over to her. Picked up an I -8 and using password and apple ID given to me I wiped the phone clean. Did the complete re-setup but I chose to use data from Cloud to get my music installed.

Anyway, the issue is now with apple id. I have gone into adding new apple id password multiple times and when asked to finally enter it either on line or on the phone I get the window that says apple id locked; like I am stuck in a loop. Of course to do another complete reset to try again, I need that Apple ID password. I have yet to put my sim card in as I need an active phone (Samsung) to function.

If I keep going I will run out of ideas for a password.

Maybe I can't have different 2 iPhones on iTunes with different apple IDs

Hi MoochAmber,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

You can definitely have more than one iPhone connected to iTunes.

For your issue, this article may be able to help: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled

"If your account has been disabled for security reasons

If you see one of the following messages, your Apple ID automatically locked to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services:

  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons"

You need to reset your password to regain access. Learn how to reset your password. "

If the issue continues after resetting your Apple ID, please contact Apple Support for a deeper dive.

Have a fantastic day!
