Airpods Pro 2nd Gen Microphone Muffled

Hi,

I have the Airpods Pro 2nd gen and the microphone quality isn't good. People have said that I sound very far away and the sound is very muffled. I've tried forgetting them and reconnecting, and I've tried cleaning them. Nothing has worked. I've looked at every forum and done all of the steps multiple times and nothing has worked. The regular audio is fine, just the microphone that is the issue.

Please let me know if there is something that I'm missing or if I just need to take them to the store to get looked at. I'm not very happy because they are expensive and I would expect for the them to be of good quality.
