Apple Watch update

Why doesn’t Apple provide an option to automatically update their Watch any time it is plugged in? Automatic updates occur overnight and my watch is not plugged in at that time. I wear it to monitor heart rate, sleep, etc.

I'm pretty sure that you can do it whenever you want as long as:

The watch is on a charger
The watch has at least 50% battery level

Initiate the process from within the Watch app on your paired iPhone
