HI, I wish to be able to set a HomePod mini as the default speak for my Apple TV 4th generation 32gb without having to go into settings each time (my TV does not have optical out for a soundbar). How do I do this please

There is no default audio option on the Apple TV HD Model. This can be done with ATV 4k. You don’t need to go into Settings each time. It might be quicker to do it this way:
button on the Siri Remote to open Control Center, then select the Audio Controls button
